Ministry Update
September 10, 2011
Getting used to my role as worship director at Shepherd of the Lakes has been challenging and very rewarding! Through the ministry, I've watched God touch people in amazing ways.
Also, the pastors have been encouraging me to write more music, which is an excellent opportunity to continue to do the work I've been called to. I've shared several of these songs with the church and they have encouraged me to record them.
Recently, I was musing about how foreign other services can seem compared to the ones I am used to. I would hope that as Christians, we can see the value in these differences and enjoy them - from Africa to Mexico to even the differences within one town. But when you consider the worship going on in Heaven, how can we compare? It reminds me of 1 Corinthians 2:9 -
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—
I can't say how much it's been a blessing to me to continue in this ministry. God grows us and changes us day by day as we abide in Him.
Blessings and Thanks,
Amy K.
